Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) has launched a year-end promotion to get more GHA Discovery members to qualify for status.
GHA Discovery members can earn double elite qualifying nights for stays booked and consumed between November 1 and December 31, 2026. You must register for this offer.

Qualifying for GHA Status:
You can qualify for GHA status by nights, spend, or brands stayed at.
Gold = 2 stays or $1,000
Platinum = 2 brands, 10 nights, or $5,000
Titanium = 3 brands, 30 nights, or $15,000
Conclusion
Qualifying on anything other than the brands stayed at doesn’t make much sense, although I have qualified this year on both nights (47) and brands (13).
There are close to 60 GHA Discovery participating brands, so staying at 3 different ones is not much of a challenge.

The GHA DISCOVERY Double Nights Promotion (the “Promotion”) applies to eligible tier nights on eligible stays at all GHA DISCOVERY hotels by GHA DISCOVERY members who book directly with GHA or the hotel brand and have registered for the Promotion prior to their stay. The Promotion runs from 1 November 2026 to 31 December 2026.
Promotion Details
The Promotion allows members to earn double tier-night credits, counting toward the qualification threshold to elevate or renew their GHA DISCOVERY tier status for 2027. Each eligible tier night will be matched by GHA with an extra eligible “Promotional Tier Night.” However, Promotional Tier Nights will not roll over to the next year to earn tier nights in 2027.

To take advantage of the Promotion, participants must be a member of the GHA DISCOVERY programme and must have accepted the GHA DISCOVERY programme Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy.

Members must register for the Promotion within the promotional opt-in period (between 00:00 on 1 November 2026 and 23:59 on 31 December 2026, Central European Time [CET]) prior to their stay by clicking on the “Register” button on the designated website or app page. Eligible bookings must be made and eligible stays completed within the promotional period (between 00:00 on 1 November 2026 and 23:59 on 31 December 2026, local time of the participating property where the stay is reserved) through GHA or Brand direct channels. The member must complete check-out on or before 23:59 local property time on 31 December 2026 for Promotional Tier Nights to be awarded. Because participating properties operate across multiple international time zones, booking promotional cut-off times are non-simultaneous globally and will occur at different moments depending on property location. Qualifying booking dates and times are determined strictly by the property’s local time zone as recorded in the central reservation system; the timestamp, transmission date, or receipt time of any booking confirmation email shall not determine eligibility.
Ineligible Rates
The following rates do not qualify for earning Promotional Tier Nights:
Rooms booked through any channel other than GHA’s website or app or the brand’s website or app, Room rates for airline staff and crew where rooms are pre-booked and paid for by the airline directly, Travel-industry staff rates, Other discounted rates, Complimentary, free, traded, or bartered night stays, or stays in connection with gift certificates or other awards or vouchers.
Additional Terms
Bookings and eligible stays made prior to the registration will not be considered as a qualified eligible stay towards the Promotion, even if they are in the Promotional Stay period. Bookings made prior to 1 November 2026 will also not be considered towards the Promotion. This offer is subject to change or withdrawal without notice, cannot be transferred or exchanged for other forms of compensation, cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion unless explicitly stated, and is subject to availability. Promotional Tier Night credits can be earned on a maximum of two rooms per night.
