IHG has begun sending notices to guests with bookings at the ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe hotel after November 30, 2026.

ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe will exit the IHG system on December 1, 2026, but will continue to operate under another undisclosed brand and name from that date, as existing bookings after the switchover date will be honored.

IHG’s Notice to those with existing bookings:
We are writing to inform you that ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe will no longer be a part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts family as of December 01, 2026.
Please be assured that the hotel has confirmed your reservation and will honor your stay as scheduled. However, as the property is no longer part of the IHG network, IHG One Rewards benefits, including the earning of points for this stay, will not be applicable.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We truly appreciate your understanding and value your continued loyalty as an IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite member.
The hotel is no longer bookable past the exit date.
Conclusion
These exit notices are usually sent about a month out and can be highly disruptive, especially for elite members who no longer get to enjoy status-related benefits and won’t earn any elite qualifying nights or points for the stay.
Paid stays are always honored unless the hotel closes, but this is not always the case with award stays.
