World of Hyatt members have been able to move points between accounts by filling out an offline form and sending it to customer service, but this has changed as of Thursday.
Hyatt has now enabled a Points.com module that lets you do this using the same interface you use to buy and gift points.

The steps initializing the transfer are quite clear.
You can move your early max of 525K points at once.
Things to note:
Both accounts now must have been open for at least 60 days before they can transfer out or receive points.
Each account can send or receive gifted points once per calendar month, and for up to 6 times per year.
There is an annual cap of 525,000 points that can be either sent or received by any World of Hyatt member.
Hyatt has also added a note that they reserve the right to review, cancel, and demand additional information in case they suspect fraudulent activity.
Purchasing Points:
As Points.com handles these also, Hyatt has now clarified that a member can buy up to 55,000 Hyatt points in a calendar year for themselves, and another 55,000 total for other members collectively.
Conclusion
It was quite 1990’s/early 2000s to have to send signed forms to move points between accounts, and now this should be an automated process with the help of Points.com.
I guess that this new method is more secure, but perhaps costs Hyatt more in fees they pay to this Canadian company.

World of Hyatt members may transfer Bonus Points under the Points Gifting Process to another eligible World of Hyatt member at no cost. Both the sender and recipient must be members in good standing and their World of Hyatt accounts must have been active and open for at least 60 days.
Points may be transferred at a 1:1 ratio, starting at a minimum of 1,000 points and in increments of 500 points thereafter, up to 525,000 points per transaction. Members may transfer up to 525,000 points and receive up to 525,000 points through the Points Gifting Process per calendar year. Members may transfer points once per calendar month, up to a maximum of six transfers per calendar year.
To complete a transfer, the sender must provide the recipient’s first name, last name, email address and World of Hyatt member number. Points are generally transferred within 24 hours; transactions requiring additional review may take up to 10 business days.

VI. Points GiftingA Member may combine points from their account with those of one other specifically designated Member. A single Member may participate in a point-combining transaction (transferring or receiving of points) not more than once every 30 days. In order to combine points, the following requirements must be met:
A Member may gift points from their account to that of another specifically designated Member, subject to the following limitations and procedures:
(a) A single Member may (i) gift points not more than once per calendar month and not more than six (6) total times per Calendar Year and (ii) receive points gifted through this method not more than once per calendar month and not more than six (6) total times per Calendar Year.
(b) A single Member may transfer a maximum of 525,000 points per Calendar Year and receive a maximum of 525,000 points per Calendar Year.
(c) Point-gifting requests require a minimum transfer of 1,000 points and are available in 500-point increments thereafter – up to the maximum annual transfer described above.
(d) Each Member must have an active account open for at least sixty (60) days before submission of the gifting request.
(e) All Points received through transfer will be considered Bonus Points for the recipient.
(f) Points may be transferred or received only via a legitimate point-gifting request submitted here. Once a point-gifting request is submitted, the request is final and the Member transferring the points will relinquish all rights to those points.
Without limiting any of its other rights, Hyatt reserves the right to review any point-gifting request, to request additional information from the Members involved, and to decline or reverse any request it deems or reasonably suspects (in its sole discretion) to be fraudulent or otherwise submitted in an attempt to circumvent any restriction or other provision of these Program Terms, including the limitations set forth in this section.
